Actually, I disagree. While Google Maps may have unrivalled SEO, when it comes to finding more business info or interacting with the business, the opportunities for dedicated local search sites remain massive. Sites that allow businesses to add detailed information, photos, receive reviews and let customers email, call or visit their website via an online profile become more of a destination site and with the right marketing can take out the 'middle man' of Google.
