I made a comment on the new site. Why do I have to put an eamil address on the new page but not on this one?
I like the new site. It is also good to see how you look. It personalizes things. People can feel like they are getting to know you better by seeing you. Go for it.
I think a personal image is a good idea - but that's a terrible photo! you can't see your eyes at all because of the glare on your glasses.
I am using foxfire (Wed at noon) and I can't get to the new site. My cursor is "running" but I get the message about time running out. I used to see this site as I have seen the picture of you on the bench...but I can't get there now.
I came here because of a link in the discussions on TechSoup. I have a one man consultancy in Finland and, though "reasonably" tech savvy want to know more about using collaborative tools. I don't want to learn HTML or similar though. Time? Anyway, your photo: It all depends why it's there? Or to put it another way: what do you want your site to achieve and how does the picture contribute to this aim? You look approachable, err economical, not business oriented, inexperienced . . . it's a picture of a student, maybe wanting some additional money, probably knowing quite a lot but not in a practical way. Anyway that's my take. Don't get me wrong, you look like a "nice guy" but what do you want your image to convey on your site and why? As for the caption I feel it needs to be more positive. But again, it depends on your clients. Being on the lookout sounds quite casual almost as if you haven't actually found any or don't actually know of any! There is (obviously?) a joke in the caption and photo. You being disturbed from a daytime doze on the park bench. Is the caption ironic? Are you on the lookout only when disturbed from reverie? Perhaps something like: "Linking the power of the web now!" - ok! but you get the drift

ps: as I'm a one man band, in need of cheap/free advice and not really knowing what I'm doing (re the web!!)or what benefit there would be to me, I feel attracted to your service! LoL I wouldn't be a good customer for you though. Unless you could in the course of advising point me to profit you could share in.
