I thought of you many times today. A friend and I spent the day at a monastery, and I wore the rosary (I even included a picture of it on my post).

I nearly bought one of Merton's books at the store there.

That is a great quote. Thomas Merton was (and is) a man of God....one of my all-time favorite writers, poets, philosophers and teachers. Much like I feel about reading Wendell Berry. Thank you for sharing that particular quote. Probably need to read it every day for a while.....hope you are feeling better. Blessings to you.

You have no idea what great advice you posted...I am applying for an MA in Catholic Studies and can't pay for it so anything citing God's Providence right now is great for my soul...thanks for the encouragement, whether you realized you were doing so or not. :-)
