I feel bad for you both. But you know Pen, I have every confidence that this too shall pass. 6 weeks would seems like forever to us grown ups too! Jeepers.... will pray for you both. Honestly Penni, I am stupified that no one found this earlier. Am sure that's a whole "nother story and you don't want to travel down that road, but good grief!

What a hard thing to be going through. Good on you for allowing Molly to feel and express her negative emotions without reproach. Will continue to keep your family in my prayers...
yay buds - so glad they are surrounding you. i never even once thought to put out the call when I was in the hospital with Jake - I got home and saw emails volunteering for that - but it never crossed my mind.
You may also find that there is a meeting RIGHT in the hospital.
The PICC, while a pain will make that infection a thing of the past. And it's way better than having to be poked again and again every day.
Please let Molly know that Jake is praying for her too (as is the rest of our family) - but Jake has a special connection because of what he just endured.

i hope that Molly knows how blessed she is to have such an incredbile mom as you. its hard to gauge teeenagers sometimes, but believe in my heart she really does know:)
