Diabetes runs in my family too.

I've been reading The Bitch Posse and it's one of those stand out novels where the characters don't just exist on paper.

They come to life and are so real, it's easy to forget they aren't.

Thanks for sharing this story. With three kids, now I know how to handle the other two if God forbid Brendon goes unconcious.

The other tips were helpful as well. One can never be prepared emotionally, but it certainly helps to see how to prepare otherwise.

Thanks, Martha. I make light of my situation a lot, but the stuff Jim Turner of dLife told me actually shook me up quite a bit. My future, too, certainly holds an ambulance ride, an ER visit, and (another) glucose IV drip.

Somehow it's comforting to know that others have been there and come OK on the other end.
