Martha, |
Thank goodness you are safe! And so is your house mostly. How frightening, and how amazing that you managed to make it out just in time. When tragedy strikes a whole community, you have each other to work through it with. A shared collective experience. Which doesn't make it any better, not at all, but at least you're all there for each other. I hope the insurance covers the damage. i am so, so glad you're safe, and dry, and together! |
Oh, Martha! I'm so sorry you guys are having to cope with all of this. Please let me know if there's anything we can help with from Berkeley. Anything. I mean it. I'm listed in the phonebook, or just email. |

Hey There You, |
This is such a tragedy and I'm so sorry for you and your family. I hope life gets back to normal for you soon. |
Oh man! That's horrible Martha! I'm glad to hear you guys made it out just in time though and everyone is safe and OK. I am so sorry this happened to you (and everyone else in your area). We had a freak storm hit our city this past summer - same results .... it was horrible. I hope insurance picks up the bill to fix everything - you don't need the added stress of having to pay for the clean up. |
OMG, how scary for you. I'm so glad that you were able to get out, and get your son's insulin. I hope insurance pans out well for you. Good luck. |
Yikes! I'm so glad you guys are safe! |
So sorry, Martha. Once I learned that you and your family were safe all I could think about was your work. I hope you had it in a safe place or were able to take the backups with you. Something. Anything. I can't stand to think that you might have lost your work in progress. I have my fingers crossed. |

I logged into your blog to tell you about the Amazon.com connection with authors blogs...There's an article here. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/2...oks/

Martha, I'm so sorry. When I saw the news about the CA counties hit by the flooding, I thought, "Yea, not near Martha!" but I guess the rain and tide had other ideas. Hope everything gets back to normal soon. |

Hey Martha, |
I'm glad you and your family are safe, Martha. May the rest of 2006 bring only good things. Thinking of you and all involved. |
Oh, Martha how terrible. I am glad you got out allright and everyone is OK. Cleaning up your house won't be fun, but at least you are safe. |
