This is Jerry's stepmother.

All I have seen tonight, just breaks my heart.

As I sit here and type this,,,my tears are pouring.

His mother and I tried all that we knew to do with our 12 years of sobriety.

We tried tough love,,,,,tried jail,,,,,,,tried rehabs,,,,nothing worked cuz he didnt want it.

We had a good last 3/4 months, we talking again and actually having a relationship.

We were out of town when we got the call saturday night.

Never expected to hear what we heard that night. How nieve (spelling??) we were.

All I can hope and pray that someone using will see these posts and put the DEATH down. As it has been said many times before.

My heart breaks for this much-loved young man.
As a recovering alcoholic and mother of an alcoholic, I know too well what pain and sorrow the disease can cause.
Thanks Martha for the reminder and the tribute.
I hold those who loved Jerry in my heart and prayers.
