As a Liberal, I find Murtha's comments to be negligent and irresponsible. I also find the many written articles and blogs from the Right "solving the Haditha" crime in a "Murder She Wrote" fashion to blame Liberals and this fantasy Mainstream Media to be equally negligent and irresponsible. Who on the Right or Left feels they are more authorative then the Pentagon which is still conducting an investigation? Spinning these Marine's plight for sole purpose of having childish anti-liberal/anti-conservative rhetoric is NOT supporting your troops.
I don't know who you're calling childish Tim, but I think that cast majority of conservative commentary on the subject agrees with you that we need to let the military investigation proceed without a rush to judge. Murtha and the subsequent MSM coverage of the "massacre" has all but convicted the Marines involved. If anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, it's these Marines. Murtha, on the other hand, has an agenda and appears to have left his faith in our military in a previous life.
