You have nothing for which you need to apologize since you do not share the radical beliefs of this man at Ft. Hood. And yes - he is a radical. He did not simply "lose it;" he planned this massacre long before he committed it. He has been applauded by numerous Islamic individuals around the world. He is not just an "isolated" case of a Muslim targeting non-believers. The press and the US administration have gone out of their way to maintain the politically correct storyline that Hassan's motives were unknown. This man made his motives clear. While you have no need to aplogize for yourself (you have done nothing wrong), Muslims in general must stop making excuses for radical killers such as Hassan.

I'm Muslim and I don't see this individual as a "terrorist" or a Muslim that hijacked our religion. I see this guy as a human that needed help, someone that was harrassed, someone that wanted out and was refused. If he was someone of another religion or no religion he would have been classified under "mental breakdown" not as a fanatic.

Salaams:
I blame the FBI for what happened. They had this guy in their radar and did NOTHING about him. I work for the government. If I made statements like he did, or if I posted what he did to my blog, I'd be GONE.
What he did was sickening - on all fronts. And I'm with you. I am sick of some Muslims hijacking our deen.
I'm sorry. This is how I feel. The courts will deal with him. But first he will be in a military brig ... trust me, it will suck to be him in there.
Most of all, he will have to deal with Allah (swt).

For an antidote to the hatred virus that these people spread, please come visit my blog. I don't have a huge readership, so I don't get a lot of comments, but so far, 6 people who don't know you have written you notes of kindness. I truly believe there are more kind people in the world than there are hateful ones. The hateful ones just have louder voices and more arenas to vent their voices.
Hugs from Denver.

We all know the deal! No matter what we are all considered wrong by the actions of one. He probably did go beserk which is not uncommon for mental health care professionals who do not have a counselor to vent with. We cannot condem Islam based upon the actions of one person. Check out the danger of a single story on youtube. It gives light to what we are talking about here. We need to know the facts just the facts. Not that that will ally the fear at all. But as an Ummat we cannot make snap judgements either Insha'Allah may Allah help us all!

Astagh'fir'Allah....Sis I know during these times it's extremely hard being Muslim. I think more so in the States. Even though the one responsible for this is Muslim, it could have been any one. How many people have a nervous breakdown at work/school/home and go on a shooting spree? Only a small percent of those are Muslim.
All these people with ignorant comments are nothing, but racist.
I wish I could give you a big hug. How about a cyber one? ((((( Masooma)))))
