I think you're letting your political differences cloud things a little. Tim is not a racist. It is perfectly allright to have a critical opinion of someone of another religion, skin hue, or what-not. As an Arab-american, I have never had a problem with anyone with right wing views. The left is another story. It also doesn't help that many of them are young, and therefore less likely tolerant or understanding. It is the worst form of hustling to say that it's not permissible to criticize on grounds of ones' religion or race.

The context of the Semtex in the City joke was a Fox News satirical column.
I've kept it in its original context as a bad piece of satire and lambasted it for being racially motivated humour targeted at the Palestinians.
Now that I've established the context - care to inform me how implying that all Palestinian women have nothing better to do other than sit around and pad themselves with semtex and think of ingenious ways to send themselves to their deaths IS NOT a racist comment?

It was an online article and if you followed the link under "Palestinian women" it led to a story about Why a Palestinian girl now wants to be a suicide bomber that's the context. If it was in print you might have a point.

So he's taken an article where one poor beaten down fucked up woman has reached the point in her life where she wants to step over the green line and leave it all behind forever - AND used that as a basis to imply that this is a majority opinion amongst Palestinian women.
He has then lampooned this and made a joke out of it.
