Gravatar Would that include going back in time and trying to change the history of the Eureka Stockade? Geez, all those Immigrants --- the history of that event (as you've pointed out Darp) must be a tad uncomfortable for the PYL. Idiots, idiots, idiots.

My beautiful country: Aussies having sex with Asians, Asians having sex with Africans, Lebanese people having sex with Turks, Indians dating Greeks, Iraqis learning English at the Auburn Migrant resource center, Tongans streaming out of the local community hall where they've just been celebrating a birthday party - and all breeding beautiful mixed babies to grace this great land of ours and contribute to this wonderful, diverse, intelligent and peaceful society of ours. To the PYL: your bullshit ideas have been proven to be wrong, your analysis is simple and hateful, and you'll never ever get a foothold in this country because your hatred and simple-mindedness are not welcome here

Gravatar Whoa Dave, I think you just copped a PYL Fatwa for that spray!

Gravatar more more more. i love this. racism has no place in our beautiful country, or anywhere for that matter. let this be a lesson to these fools. i wish i could be there to help out mate. i really do.

Gravatar Did you notice that they've actually got TV ads running in rural NSW?

http://ausfirst.alphalink.com.au...l/ council6.html

You should really get in contact with Channel 9 to try and knock that over. Surely they can't be that hard up for cash that they need their Dubbo affiliate to sell space to lunatics like this. If they won't refuse the racists advertising shame them publically.

Gravatar just a somewhat related story for you. i went to protest against a one nation rally once in adelaide with my mate and things turned a little ugly with all the national action thugs rocking up. anyway the cops detained a few lads, (mostly national action dropkicks) but my mate happened to get whacked in the back of a paddywagon to cool off. being university students at the time, he looked like a bit of a vagrant and the cops chucked him in with a skinhead.

it wasn't until the paddywagon started to rock from side to side that they realised that they had made a mistake. after prying them apart he was sent home by the friendly constabulary and we have laughed about it for years after...

Gravatar HAHAHAHA....

Yeah, Aust First have plenty of former NA goons bolstering their ranks. Jim Saleam was the main "intellectual" force behind them.

Gravatar I can't do much here in the heart of the "yellow peril" but I have been voting for your blog (and ausculture.com alternately as 1 vote per day is allowed) at the 2004weblogawards.com site.

Gravatar intellectual indeed...

Gravatar To Stuie 'Macbeth' McBeth and his hoons:

"What are these
So wither’d and so wild in their attire,
That look not like the inhabitants o’ the earth,
And yet are on ’t?"

Gravatar Darp, I love the 'END ALL IMMIGRATION' poster.

Conspicuously absent is any imagery of the most dangerously subversive immigrants to Australia- white people, especially those from North America.

Unlike all those brown & tan beggars with weird eyes and prominent lips, those caucasian sods can blend right in with the rest of us mob. Hell, they might even have blonde hair and blue eyes and speak English (sorta) fer chrissakes. Worse, they might bring with them resources for influence, like money, education and technology savvy. THIS lot could actually change Australia as we know it!

I demand that AF & PYL add images of white, English speaking people to their anti-immigration poster! Let's keep the real undesirables out of Orstraya!

-weez

Gravatar I think Stewey McBeth's dad was a breakaway member of the Labor party - probably one of the Old Skool, Artie Calwell 'Two Wongs don't make a White' type.

So could be that the PYL use the Eureka flag because a lot of their members are leftist nutters. It makes sense, there's a lot of that sort in Newcastle.

Gravatar Back in the day you couldn't get a kebab, curry, laksa etcetera in Sydney, or Australia for that matter, all you could get was pies and chips. Now I can go out and get myself something different for lunch everyday of the week. Immigration equals good tucker...The PYL ain't taking my Yum Cha brekkie from me that's for damn sure...

Gravatar Jesus Christ, I had no idea that this shit was happening in the Epping/Carlingford area. I am profoundly disturbed. Kudos to you Darp for combating this shameful behaviour.

Gravatar On a slightly different topic, notice that the two most blatantly right wing blogs (Blair and Chrenkoff) are currently in the lead with a hefty majority.... it's like the federal election all over again (sighs)

Gravatar TimT,

Just to correct you on a minor point. My thorough investigations into the PYL dictate that it is a decidedly right-wing organisation.

I would have thought that bleedingly obvious but anyway. Please tell me you're not trying to run with that old chestnut "Hitler was a leftie"?

Mushroom,

Well, I never even knew there was 'an election' on until yesterday. Judging by some of the ads that crop up on that site (ie, Michael Moore Hates America), it looks like we may have a Ukrainian style voting system on our hands here.

I reiterate that no-one has a chance of beating Blair, not unless they suddenly pick up a zillion American readers between now and Sunday.

Gravatar Darp,

Let me call this little nugget of information, from the Australia First website, to your attention:

Mr. Robert McBeth, Ward 2 Newcastle City Council

Mr. McBeth is 50 years and is a small-businessman. He was formerly a member of the Labor Party and was always a strong supporter of that party. He became disillusioned with its direction some time ago and looked for alternative ideas. This is the first time he has been a candidate for public office.

Same name, same electorate - I'd say that's either Steweys father or a close family relation. Oh, and a fairly clear connection with the left side of politics.

Gravatar D'oh, forgot to take the italics tags off the final paragraph.

Gravatar "He became disillusioned with its direction some time ago and looked for alternative ideas."

Yeah, clear connection.

Gravatar What's so surprising about the idea that there are racists on both the left and the right side of politics?

Remember, the strongest supporters of the White Australia policy for a long time were the Unions.

Gravatar Also Tim, you'd probably be aware of Graeme Campbell's background. Yes, he was a member of the ALP, then tried to get involved with One Nation.

Uhm ...If you'd spent any time investigating the Labor Party in NSW you'd know that they really don't have a great deal to do with Leftist politics.

I'd estimate the NSW Labor right to make up about 70% of active members.

To make the pathetically tenuous connection between some guy with the surname of McBeth once being involved with the Labor party as being some kind of evidence that the PYL is a 'leftist' group is bullshit.

One glance at their views on race tell you that these guys are anything but left.

Gravatar Oh believe me, I saw the Tasmanian Forest Worker in a CFMEU jacket with a white pride tattoo on his forearm.

A forearm that was patting the Prime Minister on the back. I don't doubt that there were racist shitheads involved in the Union movement (you'll get them anywhere).

Gravatar Darpy (I see Nazi people) Darp,

The picture you paint of union members is not very attractive. Union thugs acting like thugs. Threatening people. Alinging the Eureka symbol with violent, extremist politics (I don't care whether right wing nuts or left, an historical event should not be hijacked for personal advancement).

I also wonder what the police thought of your own public vandalisation spree? Or are you playing them? They're not gonna like that...

It might be great for site traffic during the boring news Christmas period, but this whole business turns me off.

Maybe it's good you're with the Greens, none of the major parties would stomach this kind of extremism in an aspiring candidate, for good reason.

Gravatar Uhm ...you've seen and read what the PYL stand for.

I'd hardly call what I'm doing to combat them a "vandilisation spree" (vandalism?).

Sticking label size "proudly multicultural" stickers on top of A3 posters which feature negative Asian caricatures is a rather tame response compared to what most people would like to see me do.

Yep, the local police have expressed to me their desire that I NOT do it but also understand WHY I'm doing it. I've given out hundreds of those stickers to people with the express instruction that they be used as bumper stickers. I can't be held responsible for what they choose to do with them though.

Gravatar Also, reference to racist elements in the Union movement was an admission that you get racism in ALL sectors of society. Please don't try and put words in my mouth by saying that I was painting the whole movement with that brush.

ALL of the major unions run by a ethos of CLASS, not RACE war. If it could be said that the hardcore racist element in the ADF runs at something like 20%, the Union movement would have less than 2%.

Aspiring candidate? ME - oh for fuck's sake - where are you pulling this shit from? The only thing I aspire to is all three seasons of The Transformers on DVD.

Extremist? Bloody hell - look at how the PYL are acting. Look at the relatively tame approach I've taken in response to them.

Hell, I'm even trying a gentle paternal approach on one of them.

Gravatar Whats with the internet threats by that eureka fuckstick?..

I mean seriously, what the fuck is some retarded little cunt going to do when he cant even spell DARP?

Gravatar Hee hee Darp!

Vandalism, vandalised, vandalisation, but never vandil. The Vandals were a bunch of stinky, hairy muscle queens (a bit like the modern day bear subculture actually...) who fucked shit up.

The thuggery I pointed out was contained in your threats re union blokes wanting to fuck people over, not the CFMEU racist.

I understand your anger, these guys suck arse (in a bad way), I joined the freaking Democrats when I was 16 because I hated Pauline Hanson so much. Don't tell anyone...I let my membership quickly lapse thank buggery.

Gravatar Oh, and the fine terms 'fucktard' and 'fucktardunt' make most couplings of fucking, retard and that other 'c' word redundant (",)

Gravatar Don't worry. I'm a former Dem as well. I won't tell anyone.

When it comes to dealing with neo-Nazis. Experience has taught those in the know that you don't pussy foot around. You go in once, go in hard and you don't have to worry about them any more.

Metaphorically, I'm doing just that via non-violent means. Many in the Union movement see fit to go the thug avenue against these people seen as it's a strategy that they themselves are fond of.

You'll notice I didn't condone it and have thankfully headed it off.

Yes, before you expand the argument into Unions AS Mafia, I wholeheartedly agree with you that there are certain fucksticks who use the power of the Union for criminal private gain and it is completely fucked.

Gravatar Imagine that Darp, Carr is a Fabian socialist.

TEE HEE F**KIN' HEEEE!!

Gravatar Darp you could argue that in some ways the PYL is leftist, their economic platform certainly is and that may attract leftist members who may then be sucked into the racism thing.

Gravatar Hmmm...I dunno. You'd have to be pretty dumb trot to be sucked into joining a group that disses "fucking leftie scum" every second or third breath.

Gravatar It seems to me that distinctions of left/right aren't as useful as naughty/nice in the PYL's case.

Can anyone explain this better than I can? Left and Right don't seem to have that much meaning, because these radical groups don't fit entirely into either category.

Gravatar I believe, Flashman, that the terms 'Left' and 'Right' aren't applicable here because the PYL are first and foremost racist dickheads.

Gravatar Can you imagine the backlash if those stickers had gone up in Bondi/Vaucluse/Bellevue Hill? The Anti Defamation Council, NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and AIJAC would have been on it in a second.

Actually, that gives me an idea... Forget the unions. There's no vengeance like that of the Jewish Lobby.

Gravatar AND I was just about to email you as well (re Anti-Discrimination Board).

Gravatar Perhaps this is a good time to ask: Why do you link to Mike Jericho? If his December 6 posting on Sullivan is any indication, he's purveying sheer bile.

Peace, J

Gravatar You're a former Dem too? Ok, now I am worried...

Gravatar I second Dave's solution for racial desegregation, which reminds me of that line in Bulworth:

"Get rid of the white people ... get rid of the brown people ... the black people ... Everybody got to keep fuckin' everybody until they're all the same color."

Gravatar My links aren't geared TOO HEAVILY around idelogical grounds. On a personal level, Mike and I get along quite well.

He thinks I'm severely politically mis-led and vice-versa. It's a friendly rivalry.

Gravatar Hmmm, every time I leave this country for even 1 week, I come back to a nasty reminder that all isn't great in the southern land.

Everyone should do a post on this, and link back to Darp, to give this momentum.

On a related topic Quiggin has a post on how un-PC it is to suggest there are any racists in this country...

Gravatar So who is going to ring alan jones about this? i would love to hear what he thinks about the PYL. He either loves free speech and further entrenches his racist attitude or he hates the PYL and alienates half his audience.
Could someone in Sydney please give him a call?

Gravatar Err, those are the RWDB weblog awards. I'm not sure that you'd want to win. See here.

Gravatar Hey there Darp, or is it now Dapry?

On a totally unrelated topic... You might want to revise your Andrew Wilkie link. [smirk on] He seems to have disappeared! [smirk off] Same on the greens site. No mention, gawwwn, finished, kaput, wiped like a dirty bum! If you see him, we are looking for more shithouse scrubbers at UWS. He might appreciate the hand up. The pay is crap but the biew is nice

Sorry man, I know things are a bit serious around here but... I still don't believe that an outwardly intelligent fellow such as yourself could think this dude was ever serious.

Anyways, best of luck with your current battle. On the subject of the PYL you have my complete support.

Off to polish the Kingswood!

Gravatar Andrew Wilkie not serious? Gibbo, is this simply a case of "friendly rivalry" between you and Darp? (I can never tell.)

Just in case its not...Wilkie sacrificed his career for the sake of truth and personal integrity.

The fact he has (allegedly) disappeared is a consequence of the fucked voting strategies of a dull electorate who prioritised greed over human rights.

Though you can hardly call forcing Howard to preferences in his own (hyper conservative) electorate a failed outcome!

Gravatar He hasn't dissapeared, he's BACK in Canberra baby!

Gravatar Darp,
In what capacity?

(Clearly I need to attend a meeting...)

Gravatar I wouldn't be too bothered by the so-called Weblog Awards; the definitive one is the Bloggies in January, and every year the Aust/NZ category is won by a domestiblogger with mad design skillz...

Gravatar Darp: Whoa Dave, I think you just copped a PYL Fatwa for that spray!

Good, see if I give a fuck... Let them venture into Auburn - I tell you, I'd be the most friendly face there for them, and I think about as much of them as you do - need I say more?

Gravatar Jim Saleam ran for Marrickville Council at the last local election. 41 1st pref votes. At that time there were a few odious stickers and posters around the traps which got removed as quick as I saw them. I wondered why he chose here -- one of the most ethnically diverse areas in Sydney. Maybe he lives here or maybe thought he could harvest some old skool anglo protest vote.

Since then, no sign of them.

Gravatar Yes Anne, just friendly rivalry.
I have agreed with Darp on more than two issues so I felt the need to kick back a bit!
Calling him someone who "sacrificed his career for the sake of truth and personal integrity" gets me though. Nothing more than a opportunistic, disgruntled public servant in my book.
We will agree to disagree on Mr Wilkie.
I am also keen to know in what capacity that "he is back" seeing he wasn't "in" to begin with. Scratching around trying to write another "Johnny the rodent" book probably. His last book is available in the shit bin at all KMart stores for about $3.99 and they seem to have most of the original printing run in stock.

Gravatar Gibbo - you bloody cynic...

I hope Wilkie does write another "Johny the Rodent" book; I'll read it....whether its $3.99 or $39.99...

You can go Back to polishing the Kingswood now...and while your'e 'shining her up' spare a thought for all the victims of the Rodent's foreign policy....

Gravatar To Darp or anyone who might know:

Are these posters restricted to the Carlingford/Epping area?

If so, how fascinating! In all my years in that area I would never have picked it as a locale for such a drama.

And the Epping Hotel as a showdown meeting place? Too surreal to believe.

I am currently exiled in the Nash Cap (national capital) and would love to know what is going on to bring this controversy to the area.

Gravatar "The fact he has (allegedly) disappeared is a consequence of the fucked voting strategies of a dull electorate who prioritised greed over human rights."

Sorry Anne, but it is a consequence of his decision to run with the Greens and play the snot-flicking spoiler rather than get into the serious game. Shame, I agree, he appears to be a man of rare integrity.

Gravatar Cosmicsphero.

They are all over the streets surrounding local high schools, mac uni, syn uni etc.

Gravatar Cheers, thanks for that Darp.

Sounds like the work of public-transport reliant engineering students.

Gravatar Martin - who should he have run for? Suerly one aligns oneself with the party whose platform equates with one's own political sentiments? Isn't that what he did?

Or are you pissed because there was no way he could win in the seat of Bennelong, and should have chosen a 'safer seat' to run in? Perhaps, though Johny was running scared - which was half the point of the exercise.

By the way...what's a "snot flicking spoiler"? Gross

Gravatar Yeah, I was being a bit rude. I like a lot of Greens. However clearly they weren't the only alternative on the left, and by taking such 'high moral ground' they don't seriously run as a party seeking power in this particular democracy.

Gravatar Didn't think you wre being rude Martin...just extending the argument...

and futher..

is there a "high moral ground"...or just sets of moral values you either accept or reject...?

Gravatar Darp: "One glance at their views on race tell you that these guys are anything but left"

That's BS and you know it. Neither the intelligent modern left OR right have any time for racism. A quick look at what this group is promoting tells me that their policies are actually "anything but" free trade and liberal immigration, both anchors of the right. Why don't you take a quick look at the outcomes for the present time? Who's pro-immigration? Howard. Who wants it severely restricted? Well, if it isn't Bob Carr.

Maybe I'm making too much of a small thing, but I just really get sick of seeing it constantly mentioned .. racist = right wing, right wing = racist, nazi sympathisers = right wing, etc etc. As a card-carrying RWDB, I really hate being lumped in with these assholes.

Gravatar On another note, I'll keep my eyes open for those posters around Chatswood. If I see any I think I'll compose my own stickers - yours aren't aggresive enough for my taste. I'm thinking along the lines of "DROP DEAD NAZI SCUM", along with a picture of hitler saluting above a picture from Auschwitz, with a brief accompanying passage inviting any nazis reading to rot in the grave along with their defeated masters from history.

Gravatar Jim Saleam was around when I was a lefty twenty years ago -- and I was retouching his "National Action" graffiti with a more acceptable message at the time. Takes me back ...

Gravatar Darp, Anne, Wilkians in general.
I hate to keep banging on about poor missing Andrew but..... I did a little googling and found something funny(by my standards anyway)
Pop over to Gibbos Place & have a look

Gravatar Geeeze Gibbo....again with nose jokes...you with coffee coming out of them, and Martin with his snot flicking...

Perhaps, just perhaps (assuming you can think LATERALLY)some people who voted on that pole weren't from the Greens; its a 'public' - not a 'sacred' site!!!

Go the Wilkie - wherever you are...

Gravatar Oh...and the goose DOES look like Bob Browne - peaceful, elegant, and to be admired......

Gravatar James wrote:

"Who's pro-immigration? Howard. Who wants it severely restricted? Well, if it isn't Bob Carr."

James, thank you for that. I've been saying this for ages. Carr is in the wrong party. He has always been conservative. I've met Bob, he is a good guy, but if people think he likes the left of his party, they are wrong. He just barely tolerates them.

Carr is about balancing books, not about saving the whales.

Just like his buddy PJK, who along with Hawke chewed up and spat out the left in the 80's (they still haven't recovered from it), Carr is of the same mould.

As for linking to Darp's crusade, Jeff is working up a special creation for it.

Gravatar James,

I don't intend to lump the Right lunatic fringe in with the mainstream Right.

Still - running around calling yourself "Right Wing Death Beasts" IS an invitation to be thrown together with the PYL fuckers of this world.

Go hard on the stickers son!

Just be aware the cops will come down just as hard on you as they will on the PYL.

Gravatar if I get bored this friday night and there's nothing on telly, I might take a walk up to Epping station with my scraper and have a looksee around...I saw some PYL stickers in Boronia Park the other day but I was sadly without my black texta/paint scraper.

Gravatar email me, I'll let you know where their some stickers are located. Epping Stn is well taken care of.

Gravatar erm,Bob Carr's anti-immigration stance is solely based on Sydney's overpopulation.Even the biggest anti-overpopulation groups argue that even though immigration should be restricted,we should use that to allow in more refugees. It's got nothing to do with race, the largest immigrants countries into OZ are white.
