Price reductions are fine if they meet the needs of both the service provider and the consumer. Nevertheless, price reductions should never substitute for allowing a user to cancel anytime online. Companies like Tivo, XM Satellite Radio, Earthlink, and AOL all make cancelling far more difficult than it should be. It's gotten to the point that I now refuse to sign up for any recurring monthly service unless I can cancel online at any time.
