$\"Gravatar\"$ Under previous versions of Mac OS, opening a Stationery Pad document created a new, unsaved, untitled document. It was up to the user to rename it and save it somewhere. This made it practical to have a folder named Templates, with all your templates in it, and work from that.

Under Leopard, opening a Stationery Pad document creates SAVED copy of the document in the same folder as the original. The user gets no say in what it's named or where it gets saved, which usually means immediately saving it AGAIN in another folder under a new name.

These useless copies needlessly clutter one's hard drive. A Templates folder can quickly get filled with dozens of unused copies. Bad!

Leopard is a UNIX system; there has to be some way to turn this off. Does anyone know what it is?

$\"Gravatar\"$ stationary pad automatically ticks on my macbook, so when i double click on a file to reopen it in finder it copies the file and opens the copied file. as you'll probably understand, its not helpful.
any ideas how to stop this?

$\"Gravatar\"$ Stationary pads are great, but in past versions, when opening one, a \"Document\" was created that could be saved in any location. Now, the system creates a \"copy\" of the file in the place that the file is located, Does anybody know of any way to go back to the older (and I think better) way of using stationary pads?
