$\"Gravatar\"$ You forgot that you can change the default save location (So instead of the desktop, you can use the Pictures folder.) This is probably my favorite feature. I have mine set to take pics at ~/Pictures/Screenshots/. So much better!

$\"Gravatar\"$ On the earlier Macs, I had a little utility that changed the screen snaps (i.e. Picture 1) into small icons of the screen snap. I have forgotten the name, but it doesn't work on later computers. Do you know any more recently developed programs that do this?
