Ah, somebody said "What? You cant do that, what's the point,? Its illegal anyway." '''? Well, sadly our society is made up of such short sighted people when it comes to changing society. However, I can, in part at least, sympathise with their position. After all, we are white middle class well-supported young people in our western society, which supports us well. Sure, people in Less Economically Developed Countries do die as a result of our opulance, are at war, are tortured...But they are a world away. We are told not to worry about that; older people will, politicians and the like. We need only to watch Big Brother and exclaim at a celebrity marriage between a fuckwit Adelaidian tennis star and some shithead from Sydney.
For effective change, for effective concern, young people must realize we have no more security and stability than others around the world. Global warming, the melting of the ice caps, will not selectively target poor, voiceless people in Africa, it will hit us all. A war between China and the USA over Taiwan will affect us all.
BUT! The war in Iraq should affect us and concern us all as much as Big Brother (which I will point out I abhor, but use as an example because it seems it has inexplicable popularity with people our age). It is by showing young people the importance of preventing conflict around the world, of preventing famine and disease, and preventing the destruction of our environment, that we will have the social and political change that you call for Aoba. Blogs are one step closer to that realisation, not the whole way as you say, but a considerable help.

You will have to tell me @ school who said wrecking ads was pointless and illegal...my imagination is running WILD
