I know plenty of dudes who don't know shit about technology, so the "dumbing down" of technology, specifically geared towards females, is a wrong approach. |
you're totally right about the british wanting to create arbitrary differences between the sexes. i've seen it in so many of their news pieces. especially when i'm over there. i haven't read that article yet but it sounds pretty annoying. |

Jeez, in our house, I'm the techie wiz - which isn't necessarily saying much, but still. Cory downloaded his first software program the other day and we both considered this a major milestone....I mean, come on: "Do you prefer AAC, WMA or MP3? If you are completely baffled by these questions, you are probably a woman." How did that even get by an editor??!! |

I'm pretty convinced that British social studies have absolutely no bearing on American social climates. |

They seem to be so anti-smart girl in England. Remember the stupid study that showed that successful guys want women who are housewifey doormats? Not that all housewives are doormats, of course. But the whole thing about being a kickass chick who can DIY it all is somehow a liability according to these tard social science researchers, and that makes me want to kung fu their ass. |

Most of my work mates are female, and everybody is a techie. |
Wow. It's like an article that was written in the 1940's but someone did a find and replace to add in the word iPod and take out... some new technological gadget from the 40's (I'm drawing a blank there, but whatever). |
Yeah, and then an article like this comes out: |
That study is complete bullshit! The last comment, from Marjoline in Holland, is right on. |
