I agree with the olive comment. I used to hate them now I can eat a whole jar by myself in a day - of course for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Not at once - I'm no pig.

Anyway, out at Denio's in Roseville there is a family run olive company that sells every weekend right by the farmer's market and they are really cheap (something like 2 jars for $5.00). Next time I'm out there I'll pick you up a jar or two.

BTW - Best thing ever = Jalapeno AND Garlic Stuffed Olives

I like those too Devin. That would be awesome if you brought me olives!

One time my roommate Tara and I tried to go the gilroy garlic festival, but the traffic was so bad that we just went to the big olive stand on the other side of the freeway. I bought a lot.

Five Things Regularly Stocked in my Refrigerator

1) Jell-o Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Cups. Calci-YUM!

2) Cheese. Many cheeses -- one must always keep a soft, hard, and medium cheese on hand for last-minute entertaining, after all.

3) Olives. I buy a lot of olives, and I don't always remember to eat them. Usually they are garlic-stuffed and/or kalamata olives.

4) Pickles. I have 3 jars of pickles right now. They last forever and I never remember to eat them.

5) Whole-wheat English Muffins. Yummy toasted with peanut butter, jam, or just butter!

I've been intrieged in the "new" Safeway and their Olive Bar. Good idea until I see poeple walk by and pick a few out with their bare hands and eat them. Gross. I imagine that big, bearded, white haired homeless guy with the guitar (who intimidates people at the Safeway on Alhambra into giving him money) walking by and snagging a big handful... it grosses me out. Gimme a nicely seealed jar any day.

I've not tried spicy hummus... sounds good.

They have it at trader joe's. Probably also at Dominick's.
