Common sense tells us that there are way too many people that have been smoking for 30, to 40 years or more still walking around among us for any of this rediculous claptrap to be taken seriously under any circumstance for any reason, at any time.

5 years ago there was an anti-SHS newspaper ad campaign that ran in several cities in my state, including mine. Local doctors who hadn't signed on prior to the first ad were urged to add their name to the list (via email) after the campaign started its month long run. (Their names appeared in the ad)
This is from memory, but I think the ads in my city started with 102 names, some from as far as 30 miles away. They picked up seven or nine more during the month.
I looked up doctors names in the Yellow Pages and from hospital and clinic rosters. I came up with something like 750.
I also checked out another city's campaign and did the same thing and the same percentage signed on (about 15%).
The vast majority kept their name off the list. The reason I'm confident they purposely stayed off the list is because the local doctor here who I saw on tv speaking glowingly about this ad campaign and I believe was in charge for this area couldn't even get many of his co-workers to sign on.
Common sense tells us scientists have no business urging the government to regulate other people's lives, if only in gratitude for the privilege of having their careers subsidized by them.
