This post got me fired up too. My friends and I opened a small business just after Hurricane Katrina. Grace's Unique Gift Boutique was opened in Humble Texas after the flood. We have had good success with the store and have just recently started manufacturing our own line of highly scented candles for the store. We are calling them Esteem Home Fragrances. We have been open for just over 1 year and have recently launched our website: www.gracesmoon.com . We are excited about this growth an hope to continue to grow exponentially.

Good luck with your businesses - Tim, I think that's absolutely amazing that you saw opportunity after Katrina and opened up such a great biz. I can't even imagine what it would be like to go through that tragedy...clearly you guys have made the best of a really bad situation.
