This anti-racist 'logic' is like the logic presented by a commissar in the novel Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler. Once the main character being interrogated by the commissar accepts the Marxist premises then he is, by definition, guilty and thus should accept punishment. No counter-arguments can offered as he is by definition guilty.
That is just frightening, its backed up by what happened last night when an American woman who declared herself as non-white told my colleague on blog talk radio that she was likely to be more objective about Islam...

This is another excellent post. While I have heard the lie that all whites are, by definition, racist I did not realize that any public university would be this blatant. I guess the term "liberal education" does not mean what it used to.
I believe you are right that if we would dissent en masse that it would make a difference. However, they purveyors of this stuff would not go down without a fight. They are indeed passive aggressive and don't have much of a back bone but how much courage does it take to file lawsuits and use bureaucratic tricks of the trade to destroy anyone who crosses them. If there is a massive dissent against the PC utopian vision, the proponents of said vision will pick out a couple of dissenters who they consider to be losers and come down on them hard. Then, if anyone even notices, they will be tried in the newspapers with little regard for niceties like innocent until proven guilty. Potential dissenters will learn their lesson and be silenced.
It is one thing to dissent en masse and it is another to put your own career on the line. There are probably a lot of students that don't like this but if they resist they know very well their grades could be hurt. I don't know if things have changed since I graduated from college but corporate recruiters didn't spend much time learning anything about potential job candidates at that time. All they really did was look at a persons grade point average and the rest was a formality. This places a lot of power in the hands of school administrators who have no conscience about using it.
Enough pessimism! I agree that we all need to take a stand and there is no better time than now. We got into this mess by inches and will probably need to dig ourselves out the same way.
The future is not "mine to say" of course, but really, Glenn, I am afraid we won't get out of this mess by inches ; there will have to be a surge, with nothing very nice in it, because things have gone too far, in the USA as well as in Europe ; we are choking with PC lies.

90 percent will not even know about this or will pay no attention to it.
5 percent will show how much they recognize their inborn wickedness and support the program.

1.9 percent will gripe about it, call a radio talk show, write a letter to the newspaper.

When you say things like, "If we are all racist,..." you are accepting their statement as true. I will never accept that I am a racist, even though I am a white man, and I strongly suggest that the rest of you do not do so either. This is giving the Left control of the language, and it is not by rights theirs. We cannot allow them to take away our language; it belongs to us just as much as to them, and to allow them to make new, contradictory definitions is wrong. This is how they put us in boxes that we should never be caught in.
I am surprised that no one has sued the Univ. of Delaware. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil rights law suit where our side can gain some traction. This is a clearly unconstitutional violation of the rights of the entire student body. Isn't somebody going to pick this opportunity up?

You may be right and I would very much like our American culture and self confidence to return quickly. What I had in mind though was that we did not get into this PC mess over night, Americans were coaxed and prodded over several generations. By the time that the dramatic events of the 1960s occurred, all of the underpinnings of our traditional culture had been undercut. Here are a few things that come to mind (I do not intend this to be an exhaustive list but more indicative of a trend):
1) All of the mainline denominations underwent schisms between 1900 and 1925 with the liberals throwing out the conservatives.
2) Liberal scholars began promoting the constitution as a "living, breathing" document during Woodrow Wilson's administration.
3) By the late 1920s liberal newspapers were already starting to call conservatives stupid in print.
4) By the mid 1930s labor unions were controlling a huge amount of the work force in the United States. Yes, I know, labor unions market themselves as patriotic but, in retrospect, how patriotic can a basically socialist organization be?
5) FDR tried to pack the supreme court in the 1930s and even though he didn't get his wish right away, the leftist majority he initiated has been an activist force ever since.
6) What of Truman, Eisenhower, JFK, and LBJ? Much like today it was just a matter of how fast we slid down the slippery slope. There was no real debate regarding the direction we were headed in.
7) When student protests erupted in the 1960s most college administrators basically rolled over and let them have their way. I believe there was some token resistance but nothing like a traditionalist/conservative will meet today.
I am sure you could add items of your own. Maybe you are right. Maybe a traditionalist counter revolution has been brewing for some time and I have missed it (this is a real possibility since it is not something my local paper would tell me about). However, it seems to me that quick change makes modern Americans skittish which makes a fast transition back to the tried and true less likely.

Can the past 60 years of leftist influence be reversed? Absolutely! Look at it this way. We all know that the lies of leftism will lead to an absolute dead end, and this is provable. If leftism can be elevated to the intense powerful state it currently enjoys, why would it not be even simpler to persuade people toward the truths that are inherent in the transcendence of traditionalism which would inevitably lead to their survival? We must begin by defining these truths and contrasting them and their corollary with their liberal "equivalent".
The whole thing truly scares me (I don't say that lightly either!), especially because I'm still in college.

Since a common theme among the comments seems to be doubt or trepidations about whether we can change anything, I would like to ask all or any of you: has your thinking on these matters changed in recent times? Were you less aware in the past than you are now? And if so, what sparked the change in thinking or outlook? I can say that in my case, the answer to the first question is an emphatic yes, and it was the increasing aggressions by the left and the race industry that spurred a change in my thinking, and my move rightward. If it happened to me or to others of you, then it may not be as unlikely as some think that more people will reject the orthodoxies.
As to whether a majority will ever be on our side, I remind my readers I've never said that it was necessary, much less likely, that we would get the majority to see things as we do. I've reminded my readers before of the fact that in most great changes, it is not a majority who brings the change about; it happens quietly and bubbles up within the society, until reaching a critical mass. But the majority will always be passive. It was so in the making of our country.
Also the social revolution of the 60s was not a mass movement, but a minority movement which insidiously crept into society and most people simply acquiesced without taking one side or the other.
Further thoughts? I may write another blog entry on these questions.

They gave us a younger form of this junk when I went to University. The response of the white kids in the audience was to start getting VERY racist until the student teaching the class left in tears. Then we threw Calligula into the DVD player for good measure.
Most of the people there were not racist but all of us, even the non-white kids recognized bullshit when we saw it.
I suppose we'd all be expelled now but at the time we were still allowed to speak freely, if under duress.
