What folks are saying...

Gravatar My favourite childhood book is called Fog Magic by Julia Sauer and is about a young girl living on the east coast of Canada (where I was born) who loved the fog though no one else could understand why and how she slipped into the fog one day and found a village that had not existed in a hundred years and was welcomed by the people living there as if she had come home. I loved the foggy pictures, thank you so much for posting them.

Gravatar This is right up my alley.

I think that it is instinctive to keep the dark parts from emerging too fully into the normality of life. Because they are too volitile and do not lend themselves to stability, which all creatures seem to try to attain.

The illusion of safety is very important, much more important than the aknowledgement of animal ferocity.

It's like you say, for the most part, people like to stay on the sunny side of life. And for good reason.

It would not be so fun anymore if all of us went around dressed in black leather and carrying knives to throw at one another!!
