I think one of my satisfactions in making art (printmaking especially, in my case) is the use of antique technologies that have their own beauty. The newer media and devices often add wonderful new dimensions, but they never fully duplicate and certainly don't replace the beauty and specific qualities of the old. The last place I'd want to live would be Bill Gate's techno-house. I use the digital technologies all the time, but I refuse to discard the beautiful, tactile, individualized objects that I so enjoy interacting with.
