Gravatar McCarthy says: "innocent people are going to die because Obama wants to release photographs of prisoner abuse".

Regrettably, McCarthy (in the quoted piece reproduced here) does not spell out his reasoning why people will die.

Secondly, haven't we seen the height of it with the Abu Ghraib snaps? Please tell me the abuse doesnt get worse than smilin Lyndie England and the naked human pyramids.

Finally, and I suppose we should give McCarthy some credit for calling a spade a spade with his use of the words "prisoner abuse", I'm not sure how his article supports the argument that out dirty little not so secret should remain under the carpet.

Gravatar "... Carl Levin, the Senate Armed Services chairman and a key Obama ally, that the revelations of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib inspired new terrorist recruits, caused American combat casualties, and made the United States more vulnerable to terrorist attack. This has long been Obama’s own position. It is a charge he made throughout the 2008 campaign, and it is one he repeated just a month ago in his Strasbourg speech: “When we saw what happened in Abu Ghraib, that wasn’t good for our security — that was a recruitment tool for terrorism. Humiliating people is never a good strategy to battle terrorism.”

So now this national security risk, otherwise known as The President, want to have Abu Ghraib Redux!

He can do what he wants and somehow he will not be held accountable when violence goes up. It will be blamed on Bush even though this is Obama's call.

President Obama is needlessly putting lives in danger for political reasons. It is downright shameful.

Gravatar My God this administration is pathetic.

Just NOW they realize this would be a threat to the safety of Americans and National Security? I am beginning to wonder if it is not so much incompetence but more along the line of stupidity.

Better late then never, now let's see if they ACTUALLY put up a fight or if this is just political posture to try and play both sides.

Gravatar I accept this site why because I learn more information from this site

Gravatar I'm concerned that it is political posturing... Saying is one thing, doing is another.

If he really meant it, he would put them under executive order....
