I'm just wondering if the bombers the Ruskies are flying are anything like our B-2's or even upgraded B-1s?
It may be that Putin is doing this for domestic consumption and sabre rattling.
Please note that I DO NOT dismiss the act of violating other nation's air space with offensive strategic bombers.
In my view, the best counter to this is to proceed post haste with plans for a missile defense system and to increase the number of B-2s in the works for the current contract.

I hate to remind you folks of the obvious, but the USSR broke up over 16 years ago, and all the wishful thinking from America's far right won't put it back together again.
I'm reminded of Japanese soldiers during WWII who holed up on Pacific islands and didn't surrender until the 1970's. It's a good thing you people have the internet, because you obviously cannot function in a non-virtual world.
