White Lightning Axiom: Redux Vitrol Roll Call

Hey - sounds like a fun filled weekend. I once was grilling a whole capon chicken with the rotissiere, got it going and went to enjoy time with the guests. Came back and the grill was smoking! The turn thingy had stopped. My Ex labeled it Chicken Chernobyl. He had a lot of 'cute' names for things, like my shoe collection was my Immelda Marcos starter kit. Yeahhh. Anyway, you had Ribs Chernobyl. btw - the cute name thing got very old.

Toni: OH Jeeze! Chicken has only two things that smell worse when burnt: Popcorn and Poop. In that order. Usually, I don't get any cute names for my culinary disasters ... mostly because the guests have been to that place and they see how devistated I am about the ruined dish. The fallback is usually a quick beef wellington or a Salmon/Tuna Tar-tar with a lemon chive vinegrette.

Okay, I know where your children get all their inexhaustible energy. You're the man! Whew! I get warn out just reading it all, but can't stop because it is so fascinating. What are your meds? Sugar cubes? Grandmas are able to charm their grandkids because they have done all the hard, keep em in line kind of stuff with their own children. Now they get to sit back, laugh and spoil the grandkids, while you, the children, have to scramble to get the kids to tow the line again. It's a viscious circle. But you will get to pull the same chains on your kids when they become parents. And you will enjoy it! I am going to be crossing the northwest corner of Pennsyltucky with my handsome hunk the week after next. Going to Buffalo, by PU truck, all the way from California. We are going to spoil the grandson when we get there! Can't wait.

Mouse: Whoa ... you shure know how to pump up a guys ego! And as for Grandma, she did have to raise some Hellions. The kids do get away with things that I would not let them do with the Grandparents, but that makes the visits all that more enjoyable for everyone. Grandparents get the cute kids, kids get all the candy they want, parents get a few moments of peace. Cross country trek? Wow, when I was a child, my parents drove the family EVERYWHERE! Best way to see the country, enjoy it. The parents tell me it's a bit chilly in upstate NY so pack a sweater.
