White Lightning Axiom: Redux Vitrol Roll Call

Thanks for posting this! Erik just recently wrote a paper defending home schooling and one of the things that he learned was that home schooled kids tended to have more accurate socialization skills. Not only did these children not have problem with gender interaction, but also HS kids did better getting along with folks of all ages. It is not "natural" to segregate with people your own age in the real world. The research shows that home schooled children do better mixing with all ages, rather than just their same age peers.

I really appreciate the info!

Are you planning on home schooling if things work out where you can? We are considering it. I told Erik I would do kindergarden with Nate when he is 4 and see how he does, and how well I do managing the house and schooling! I worry more about my abilities to teach than I worry about Nate and his learning abilities.

Gravatar Brandy: It's great that you got to see this. It seems that my grandmother who whas a school teacher was a leading edge of this. 12 kids and they are all pretty well adjusted and socially responsible adults. The school beaurocrats fear this greatly.

I really want to do home schooling, but unless it is economically viable, it may not work out. If we have 1 more child, it will be best for me to stop working full time. If not, well, there is always the lottery. And the kids learning is nearly never the problem ... look at us 2, we managed to survive public school, eh?
