Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! Sorry to hear that your other half was sick. I hope she is better soon.

Brandy: It was 3 days that seemed to go by in snap. Hope yours was just as wonder filled. As for the Mrs, we just need to get her on some allergy meds and she'll do better. The congestion gets to her and it's all down hill from there.

She works for a pharma company.. they should cook her up something good!
The days did go by so fast. We had a wonderful weekend. We went to visit my family, which is always fun. Erik is getting good enough with his "Southernease" that he doesn't need me to translate anymore! We got to spend time with a dear cousin who is home from Iraq (Army Air Ranger), and spend time with my Nana who is very sick. Kids got their first boat ride, Nate watched his first gun being fired (we are in Texas after all!) that my cousin put together by hand, and got to spend time swimming in the lake and playing with cousins. It was great. Oh, and the kids got to jump on the trampoline for the first time. That was so adorable!
Remeberance with family, what better way is there to spend Memorial day?

Brandy: Yeah, she can get any prescription drug from her company (with a prescription, of course) for free. She just does not take it since it makes her feel too sleeply. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
Heh, how is Erik doing with the weather down there. It must be heating up. See any dancing lizzards on the black-top?
You got to see your Cuz? Supurb! Are there any swimmin' lessons in the near future? We started with ours just to get them used to the water. They probably won't pick up on the mechanics till they are 3 or 4. As for the Trampoline, our kids use the bed for now ... I've got to convice the Mrs on the big outdoor one first.
I'm glad that you got to send your weekend in the Tradional American Way. Excellent.

Erik is doing okay so far with the heat. We had one bad week where it was 98 with a heat index of 106... we were all suffering. But, so far so good. Of course that is why we are moving up there (looking at Southern New Jersey) in the next few years. I have told Erik if Texas ever does secede, we are coming home!
The trampoline was fun, but I know our home owners insurance requires a special policy to have one. I am scared to have other kids play in our backyard, because you never know when you will get sued. But, what can you do?
We have thought about swimming lessons, and I really should see if there are any that are a decent price. I looked last year, but Isabella was a newborn, and I felt like my hands were full enough. Now I am ready to take them.
Take Care Man!

Brandy: 106!? Not a dry heat, eh? Oh, and if you're looking at South Jersey, try to keep away from Hurricane Alley and the Shore area ... and be ready for the most onerous Property tax and auto insurance you've ever seen.
Hmm, perhaps I could just layer the back yard with mattresses. Oh, and swimming lessons? 45$ for 6 lessons of 30 minutes. Worth it if you consider the alternative. At this age it is more of getting them accustomed to the water rather than learning any real strokes.
