Gravatar Hey Anthony. Good posting. But if you show up with all your laundry at the office and you don't usually do so they'll know something is up. But probably they'll think your marriage is falling apart.

Gravatar Easy.

Wear the jacket and tie the day before and leave them in your office when you go home in your coat.

Gravatar Good one Nicole. And Mike I didn't say ALL your laundry. I said a couple of shirts.

I'm not sure what kind of office workers expect a person's wife to clean their shirts nowadays.

Gravatar I would just make up the excuse that I was meeting taking my girlfriend or someone else important out for lunch or supper. The excuse wore thin after the place I was interviewing at brought me back 3 times. But I got the job so it was worth it!

Gravatar My hubby claims a navy blazer with gray slacks is the standard "uniform" when you don't know what to wear.

But what about suggestions for us women, especially those of us who are fashion-challenged?

Gravatar Johanna: For a man that is an area fraught with dangers.

Think of the old maps of the world that said "here be dragons" near the edge.

I once tried to give a woman advice for an interview and she huffily told me she had her own personal style.

My only advice to women is not to where bright red or orange. Trust me you look like a Century 21 agent.

Not good.

Oh and it wouldn't hurt to show a little skin! (JUST KIDDING!!!)

BTW your hubbie is dead on correct about the blazer.

Gravatar Hey Anthony, I don't think the Manolo is afraid to tell women what to wear. Do you?

Gravatar Technically, a lounge suit (i.e. the standard business suit) IS ALREADY CASUAL wear. Formal wear for a man is a morning suit, for daytime, or a black tie dinner suit or White Tie and Tails if it is after 5pm. Most people probably ever only encounter a morning suit at a daytime wedding.

So revel in the yellow tie, and remember you're dressing casual even in that tailored Armani.

Gravatar Re: I think men who are too lazy to learn how to dress well thought them up.

Had to comment on this being previously from an engineering background where every day was casual day...

What if these people aren't too lazy to dress well but rather were pre-occupied with other things? What if these people are instead learning how to do their job better? What if these people recognise that it is more authentic to show up dressed up as who you are rather than dressed up as who you're expected to be?

Sometimes you dress up to make other people feel more comfortable since they don't know who you are. But I would suggest that it's better for teams to know each other instead.

Gravatar Why is there an apostrophe in the title to this artice?

"Casual Friday's" is not grammatically correct, ever.

Gravatar Indeed, nor is the spelling "artice" correct ever.

We all make mistakes.
