As I said yesterday, keep in mind that you are not a visual, tangible part of his daily life yet. He has spent many years when he didn't have to check with anybody. It's going to take some getting used to for him.
He will probably slip up again but he'll know why you're upset (unless he just didn't get it this time) and should act accordingly penitent. If it continues and there is zero improvement in this area, that's when you bring up the "deal breaker" part.
That's what I was thinking. He isn't used to the "we" and "us" yet.

L needs to stop being the other woman and R needs to stop giving her that power, but I somewhat agree with J & S above...Rick just doesn't understand it yet. Will he start in the next year? Maybe, especially because you'll remind him. John never learned it with us and still does it now that we're divorced.
