Gravatar I've just discovered macarons and I'm rather obsessed with them too! There is a chocolate shop a few blocks away from me; one of the owners is French and they make macarons. I'd seen them there for a long time, but had no idea what they were.I'd like to try making them some day. Yours look great!

Gravatar I like the produce theme! The hat is adorable and I'm sure the quilt will get lots of loving use -- as it should, especially if it turns out to be your farewell tour, so to speak. I feel a trip to Target coming on, too ... such cute stuff.

Gravatar Love the apple hat! I'm sure the quilt will be much appreciated though I am with you, knitting is far more relaxing than sewing.
That Target stuff is WAY early 80's!Reminds me of my childhood

Gravatar That hat is darling! I'm so jealous of your Orla Kiely treasure trove. I went to Target on Sun. and they only had the storage/organzation stuff -- none of the dishes yet. Le sigh!

Gravatar Wait, you HANDquilted that quilt and finished it that quickly?!?! Damn, you are one strong woman. I made a lap quilt a long time ago and it took me a YEAR to handquilt it.

Lots of cute green fruit in this post! I'll be thrilled to see the little one wearing her hat.

Gravatar love the apple quilt fabric? where did you get it?
the hat is also really nice
i've been wanting to try to make macaroons.it's on the list.
so far i've managed to stay away from target because i fear i will buy too much
hope you have a nice weekend.

Gravatar Love your latest posting. How come we didn't have those pretty cookies for the second shower??

Gravatar It all looks sumptuous.

Gravatar Every once in a while I come across a blog post that makes me gasp repeatedly. This is one of them.

I've been toying with the idea of making some of those cookies...and cherry vanilla sounds yum-my. The apple hat? Adorable. I saved the link. The quilt fabric? Even cuter. Sorry you don't enjoy quilting...I'm kind of loving it. To each his own...

And Orla Kiely? I am also one of the many bloggers who went in search of stuff..although all I could find at my Target were tumblers. So I bought one. One! I think my pocketbook is happy about that though...

Gravatar Aw, cuteness! I especially love the apple themed baby gifts. So sweet. I might have to make one of those hats, too. Love!

Gravatar I totally can't blame you with the quilting...but that little apple quilt looks great! Ditto the hat. Babies and brightly colored fruit go very well together : )

Gravatar Love the hat!!!

Gravatar I just love the idea of an apple theme baby quilt. The material in the background gives me an idea of how it looked and I bet it was wonderful. The hat to go with it was a marvelous idea. I bet it all will be well loved.
I havent checked in on your blog for a long time. It was nice to see what you have been up to.

Gravatar cuteness! I tried french macaroons and they baked completely flat--no pouf at all. i followed the recipe exactly, so maybe i just need a new recipe. they were still very tasty though.
