I'm so glad you posted your wips, because it gives me a chance to catch up on what you're working on! I'm totally impressed with all of your new skills. It sounds like two socks at a time will work really well for you. Interestingly, I've also been drawn to some lace patterns recently myself. I'll definitely be interested to hear more about your experience.

Like J mentioned above, I have been thinking about lace lately too... I have never tried an intricate lace shawl before, but I have begin to think that with a little patience, there is a chance I could do it too... Very cool socks

I think I'm on the 7th repeat of the budding lace chart, but yesterday I messed up somewhere and had to tink back a few rows to fix it. I haven't done a big lace project (successfully) before, so I'm hoping it goes well. It definitely takes a lot more time, it goes really slow for me! I'll try to post progress pics this week...

I'm just about to cast on for a swallowtail shawl! I love the shade you chose & yes, your inspiration shawl is amazing! I can see why you wanted to knit one after seeing it!
I can't wait to see the socks come together!

Ah, the joy of thrift stores : )
The socks look great! I can see from the rescue line in your Swallowtail that you are a Practical Lace Knitter who will undoubtedly come to less grief than a certain Fly By the Seat of Her Pants Lace Knitter I know...
