Gravatar I'm so glad you posted your wips, because it gives me a chance to catch up on what you're working on! I'm totally impressed with all of your new skills. It sounds like two socks at a time will work really well for you. Interestingly, I've also been drawn to some lace patterns recently myself. I'll definitely be interested to hear more about your experience.

Gravatar Ooh I'm working on a swallowtail too!

Gravatar We're twins, I just finished Endpapers last week and then cast on for a Swallowtail!

Gravatar Like J mentioned above, I have been thinking about lace lately too... I have never tried an intricate lace shawl before, but I have begin to think that with a little patience, there is a chance I could do it too... Very cool socks

Gravatar I think I'm on the 7th repeat of the budding lace chart, but yesterday I messed up somewhere and had to tink back a few rows to fix it. I haven't done a big lace project (successfully) before, so I'm hoping it goes well. It definitely takes a lot more time, it goes really slow for me! I'll try to post progress pics this week...

Gravatar I'm just about to cast on for a swallowtail shawl! I love the shade you chose & yes, your inspiration shawl is amazing! I can see why you wanted to knit one after seeing it!

I can't wait to see the socks come together!

Gravatar Ah, the joy of thrift stores : )
The socks look great! I can see from the rescue line in your Swallowtail that you are a Practical Lace Knitter who will undoubtedly come to less grief than a certain Fly By the Seat of Her Pants Lace Knitter I know...
