This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris! Everytime I visit I find myself spending time in Place Des Vosges and loving it. There is great shopping there too.
I remember enjoying treats from Gerard Mulot when I was an exchange student. Yummy! And the chocolate shoes look fabulous!
There is something so magical about Paris... its an unspoken feeling, so hard to explain.... its like a spell...
The most beautiful parts of Paris are those off the beaten track. You know the pic on my blog near the title, of me riding the bike? That is me in the middle of the woods near the Palais de Versailles.... thought i would share that tiny fact

Absolutely stunning photography! My favorites were the courtyards (for the architecture) and the cheese shop (for the cheese, of course!). Thx also for the tour guide tip. I'm always trying to escape the tourist traps.
Certainly book worthy pics! Have you ever considered a preppy guide to Europe? I'm sure there are lots like moi that would sign on for the "Mel" guided tour.

Le Marais is my favorite part of Paris. Such tragic history (many buildings have plaques that honor families that lived there, were deported to the death camps during WW2, and never returned), and now such a vibrant neighborhood.

Looks like a wonderful trip! France is so beautiful and the food is to die for. How did you manage with the language barrier? Do you speak French?
Did you try some of the white asparagus? It is one of my favorite european finds every summer. Although, it is starting to gain popularity in the states too which makes me happy!
