You freakin old man! Before my daughter got mono, (which ended her running career) she was running 5k in 19 minutes. She was awesome. Probably could have gotten a scholarship for running if not for the mono.

Look, considering (a) I didn't start running again until age 48 (after more than 20 years of sedentary life), (b) I'm over 50, and (c) I'm only running in my second race ever, I think 26 minutes is just fine, considering my 29 minute time last year.
So Miss M. ran a 19? Damn, I'm old and slow! (Unfortunately more old than slow).

You know of course I was only kidding, right? I can't run at all other than from the bedroom in the morning to the bathroom. My knees and back won't let me do it anymore. My aerobic exercise is on the elliptical and bike and occasionally the treadmill. I hate getting old!!!

Dude! Of course I knew you were kidding! I'm a little more thick-skinned than that.
I am impressed with a time of 19, though. Of course, it's easier to run a 19 AT 19.

She was 15 when she ran under 20 min. She made it to the state meet as a sophomore in division 1, (big schools). Then came the mono which she still hasn't shaken. She can go out and run 12 miles no problem, but if she kicks it hard she about passes out. Damn real doctors miss diagnosed her. I questioned the lab results but not being a "real doctor" I didn't push hard enough.
