I too never estimate times of death, that's left up to either the certifying doctor or the ME. The link however was indeed very interesting.

It's like making people die while they're still living by calculating the length they'll remain on earth.

It never fails that when we run on a DOA some family member asks about time of death. We generally lie and tell them we don't know. Blatant lies to try and comfort the family. If they press us on the issue we tell them they will have to speak with the ME.

I don't think this formula is sharp. Nobody cant't estimate thier time of death.
