If it's any consolation, DC is so damp and cold this time of year, you're better off waiting anyway. (I lived there for 5 years.)

My sympathies, although 20 degrees is not that much better. (Also my sympathies on the annuities. Every time we have to meet with our financial advisor, my eyes glaze over and I pray that one of the kids will wake up crying.)

Oh, so sorry about the cankersores! I get them too.

I paid $75 more a ticket for our spring break visit to my parents b/c we dithered about whether to leave on what day for too long. I hate it when I do that, but hating it doesn't seem to solve the problem. But I am oddly relieved to discover someone else with the same habit on occasion.
