Something on your mind?

He's not talking about blogs in the traditional sense, rather he's talking about blogworking which combines social networking and blogging in a powerful way. Unfortunately your train of thought is so...last year, that you can't seem to comprehend this new medium, and tear apart this article from the point of view of blogging, which is incorrect.

if you go on adholes you can see the author's "blog" where (in his comments on his second post) he says:

"We've noticed for sure that the younger the age group, the more this kind of service is simply "accepted" as part of socialization! Ages above 40 are often uninterested or simply can't use the concept at all. That fact is rather interesting because I'm often amazed at how much age really has to do with acceptance of online community."

he has a total of 6 "blog" posts since october 2004.
blogworking yet? combining social networking and blogging in a powerful way? i just can't seem to comprehend this new medium, obviously.

Marc, thanks for chiming in - although I don't know that your comment on its own makes things much clearer. I've responded in full over at my Corante blog, here: http://corante.com/flackster/

Thank you, Madame Levy. I'm tickled to even know that you've read my blog.

Mebbe you've hit the nail on the head there too - perhaps I'm just failing to understand this "bollogworking" thing because I'm too damn old.

But hey! When I started blogging I wuz only 37. Am I officially too crusty to be able to accept the online community now? Bugger!

i'm like hunched over in dog years myself. i spent way too much time over there on the online community of adholes.
observations:
the fonts are huge. 'uge. there's a lot of talk about cbgb's and punk rock and advertising agencies. i was smitten with one woman's languorous deconstruction of a soprano's preview commercial and all the yes man comments. stepford.
it reminded me of when a long time ago, when cbgb's and punk rock really did exist, and i was taking the train from boston to nyc. there were some girls sitting behind me who discussed a fucking pepsi commercial for 2 hours. we're all, obviously, going to hell in like a prada bag and shit.

Ah blogworking. Is that where the blog works you. The software makes you do all the work. I'd hoped for some networking actually. Oh well one can't have everything when they are an insider CEO can they? Reminds me of Hollywood Squares, what a visual. Come over to http://adquack.com where you will actually get a response when you post. Hey we even let Marc Lefton post advertorials for adholes there. Now that's something that Always On strictly does not allow. Psst this age thing its number of years you've been blogging that counts. One thing I know my blogs never worked me. I worked them. Go figure.
