I can imagine how frustrating, as you about my almost similar situation.
I just hate it when the 'baddie' starts looking good and every one acts as if to say "So why are we here again?"
Could they not have recorded every thing the kid said the year before istead of expecting them to still remember detail?
Poor kids!
Thinking of you and the trails, goodluck with the busy months to come.

I believe it's a lot of stress for the kids too. They can't understand the full process fully. Hope all goes well. Good luck, Michelle.

In our biz we often have months of slow time followed by two or three months of panic (when the budget and schedule are shot).
I wonder how these defense lawyers can stand to live with themselves. Over here they're often refered to as criminal lawyers. Seems an appropriate term.

Frustrating indeed, Michelle. I'm glad someone has the patience for it. Me? I'm happy just driving my little train. Toot! Toot!

That is very frustrating to hear. These kids have been traumatized from the start and are further abused by defense attorney's. I think there should be mandated times that the children speak to the court so they don't have to be worn down by the waiting prior to taking the stand and I think the defense attorney should only be allowed to ask direct, easy to understand, questions. If you have to make your case on confusing and abusing a child, you don't have a good case.

Its just not right to put a child in that position! It's so unfair to them. I can't imagine how frustrating that would be for you!!!!

I hope for an outcome of Justice- whether it is delivered by the courts, or some other measure...but in the end, I am glad that children have an advocate like you-
Thanks for doing a hard job, and giving your best at it~

You are very kind to say that Morgan, but i'm not, i just do my job
Cora, thanks for being so sweet, i too hope that justice will prevail in this matter
It sucks Barbara. At least the actual process it self has been reformed somewhat so the kids don't have to face a jury. Their evidence is played back to the jury
Alisa, it really sucks. Many of our defence lawyers here are males, so it can be very disconserting for a kid. Every one of us in the system from lawyers...to police want kids matters to be heard as soon as they are reported.......i wish i knew why there was a problem getting this to work.
Lemme get on board your train Dale!
Hehehehe good one Alan! I guess they use the excuse that everyone deserves to be represented in the court room.
Thanks hepas Hliza
Thanks Hannelie, hopefully we'll be able to put away a few...cross fingers

Hmmmph! How frustrating indeed!
Thankfully the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act finally passed, which should make it easier for law makers to keep track of known offenders.
