Gravatar My roomate uses those and says on the package it says to consult your dentist first if you have sensitve teeth or if your teeth have been worked on in the past. She's had no problems with them at all.

Gravatar THANK YOU! I thought it was just me! I've always had taupe-colored teeth (OK, I'm exagerating, but we live in a society now that anything less than blindness-inducing white teeth=hideously deformed). So I tried them. It felt like a dentist was drilling into the middle of them.

Then I tried Tom's of Maine's "Natural Anti-Plague Plus Whitening" and my teeth are whiter than they were with normal whitening toothpaste. Now, no one can look directly at my smile without sunglasses.

Warning, though, the first taste of Tom's is jolting if you're used to sugary toothpastes. I've grown to love it, though. Now, I can't take the sugary kind anymore.

Sorry about the haircut. You can always pretend you're retarded until it grows out. I could tell you stories about my hair that would turn yours white.

Let's just say I was raised in the age of the perm and that my mother made me go to the preferred hairdresser (yes, hairdresser, not stylist) of all the woman over the age of 65. Whatever horror you're imagining right now--it was worse.

Gravatar First of all, "anti-plague" - heheheheheheh. I know you meant "anti-plaque", but it always amuses me when people flip-flip them. Like that episode of The Simpsons when Homer is named Employee of the Month/Week/Something, and Mr. Burns tells Smithers, "Give him the plague!" Heh.

Second of all, taupe teeth? Also heheheheheh.

My hair, she is looking much better. And I went through a perm phase too, which was quite unfortunate. And my teeth, they are not hurting anymore. I think it was some bizarre effect of the Whitestrips + some kind of crud between two of my teeth that I didn't know was there. (The instructions say not to brush first, but it takes everything in my being not to. I'm a little obsessed with my teeth.) They're noticeably whiter, too. Yay!
