I'm glad you're not saying pretty girls can't be scientists, because that would be so self defeating, you cutie you.

My problem with Jessica Alba playing Susan Storm is that she looks too young for that part. In the comic book, Reed Richards had grey temples in FF#1 when they got their powers (not as a result of them) and Susan was probably closer to 30. Jessica still looks like a college freshman, while this is not a bad thing, it does not lend itself well to that part.
That being said, I did like the movie but I think Bat-Man Begins was the better comic-book-inspired movie this year.

Not to mention the fact that Jessica Alba really can't act her way out of a paper bag. It takes a lot more than eye candy to fill the role of a leading woman.

Since I presume you are in advanced science classes from your comment about going into med school, and also that you are a girl from the picture of you with a cat on your head, I would then assume, from your "science girls can't be pretty" (paraphrased) bit, not to mention all the beauty products/magazines strewn across your bedroom, that somewhere deep down you don't think you yourself are pretty.
If this is true, it seems silly and very sad to me. After all, I've seen a picture of you with a cat on your head, and even then you looked really cute.
I received a 1580 on the SAT with a perfect 800 in math, currently work for NASA, and am applying to Caltech (west coast version of MIT, but better! - 3/1 student/teacher ratio vs. 30/1 at MIT) this fall where I plan to get a Ph.D. in Quantum Physics and General Relativity. I think that qualifies as "advanced science."
I also have blonde hair, blue eyes, and weigh 110. I have been told that I look like a cross between Renee Zellweger and the girl from Chasing Amy on numerous occasions and by many people, including the (really cute!) boyfriend who has stuck with me for four years. I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I don't think I could be classified as "Conan O'Brien" level of ugly.
I promise I'm not trying to brag, and I'm not sure why your post bothered me so much, but it irritates me to have girls out there saying that we can't have our cake and eat it, too, especially when they're as pretty as you. It's true that I have a billion things I'd rather do than spend an hour in a tanning salon, or worrying about makeup and hair all the time, but that doesn't mean we're all ugly. Please do me a personal favor and get more comfortable with yourself before labeling the rest of us.
Thanks,
