I would knock on her door and politely ask her to turn it down. Most people know to keep the noise down after 11 pm.

Hmmm. Reminds me of being a resident advisor in undergrad. If you want to avoid confrontation, complain to your landlord and he/she will likely call her and ask her to turn her music down without any mention of your name. That's part of your landlord's job. As childish as "tattling" may seem, it might be the most effective means of dealing with the situation. Angering the person who lives above you could be very bad for you in the long run. Oh, and I know nothing for tomorrow's quiz. In fact, if it were possible to know less than nothing, that's how much I would know. I might just give up, call Live Links (for all you late night TV watchers), and cry my eyes out to the bearded woman on the other end. Ha.

Gravatar Live Links!! BWAHHHHH!! [By the way, what did Ms. McBeardy say? Was she supportive? Was she ironing? (You have to be an Aerosmith video watcher (and rememberer) to get that one.)]

Could I have had more parentheses in that sentence? I don't think so. But at least I closed them all, unlike some professors I know.

Gravatar You could try tapping on the ceiling with a broomstick. Some people think that this is rude, but actually, if I was the person being loud, I would appreciate the avoidance of confrontation and quiet down. This is, of course, assuming that I was being loud accidentally, which somehow happens a lot.

Good luck on your quiz!

Gravatar Have you considered drilling a hole through the ceiling, inserting a pipe and connecting this to the exhaust of your gas boiler?

Gravatar Errrr ... no. I hadn't.

Gravatar Maybe it's tragi?
