The phrase "This bike is a pipe bomb" is what critical thinkers often call a "metaphor". A metaphor is a figure of speech in which one thing is likened to another.

Perhaps the idiocy is on the part of the overzealous security guard who thought someone would go through the effort of screenprinting a sticker that would reveal what the user of an actual bikebomb would presumably wish to keep secret?
