Your zombies do amuse me, and nice use of the word "debacle". ~Kim) Just once, I'd love to hear a loser bellow out a hearty "Thanks for *nothing* Jesus!" It'd warm my blackened heart.

I loved Mandisa. And, although I am not a particularly religious person, I liked her choice of that song. Number one, I like the original song itself (which TOTALLY had pop crossover!), and number two, she FELT that song, which made for a better performance than those contestants who picked boring and generic songs.
Country week, however, was Mandisa's worst night EVER. She sounded terrible, and on top of that she looked terrible. It was a bad song choice and a bad outfit, especially because she is usually so gorgeous! Country week always sends AI into some kind of weird alternate universe where everything is terrible and wrong.
So all the silly people who didn't like her Christian song joined up with all the honest people who recognized suck when they saw it to vote her out. Eh. In a world where Jim Verraros got a recording contract, we will surely hear more from Mandisa. Probably not on the same record label, though...

Even though I like Ace, I'll give you that Mandisa is, in general, better. However, not this week. Plus Ace had been in the bottom 3 so his fans knew he needed the votes, and Mandisa & Elliott had lousy positioning... while Bucky had the pimp spot & a great performance. I was not surprised at all by the bottom 3 or who went home. But next week I'll be back to worryin' for my boys... unless that rumor about Kellie singing BoRhap is true!!

If Kellie sings Bohemian Rhapsody, I think I might cry in front of the computer, which I haven't done since witnessing Clay lose to Ruben via a wonky chat at 3am. That was a veerd experience which I would rather not remind myself of, but I did it anyway. Argh!
Elliott is still my favourite. He's from Virginia, Kim! Can't remember if it's West or just Virginia though. SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW VIRGINIANS.

I liked Mandissa a lot, but while I enjoy some Gospel music, I was not impressed with her song choice (there are better Gospel songs). She really wasn't good with Country week, but who was?
I think Ace would have been gone if it weren't for country week. His song choice for country wasn't bad and I guess people liked it better than Mandissa. Based on the singing alone, I expected Mandissa, Katherine and Paris or Ace in the bottom 3. None of them were particularly great with Country week.
I don't like the way the press handled Mandissa's stand for God. I wish the press wasn't so against people standing up for the religious beliefs. I don't think Mandissa's race or religion was the cause of her going home. I think she just aint a country singer...
Well, the American Idol has so much to surprise us all. We at the Little's Blog Things are quite surprised over the latest results too.
