Had I been there, I would have died. It would have been a nice break from the Brunner's glands in the submucosa of the duodenum.

Yes, but Ryan, you and I live in the same Dork Bubble. So you're not really objective about the whole thing. You're right, though - there are many, many things that are more amusing than Brunner's glands in the submucosa of the duodenum.

Hi.I think the joke about the cool whip "china" is v. funny. So much in fact that I interupted my husband Kevin and our pal Jeremy who were watching some pay-per-view male bonding thingy to tell them what you said.Yes.They laughed too. Annie

I felt like that dorkified sense of humor only worsened through M3 year. One of our attendings at the VA thought he was "Fat Man" from House of God and prided himself on his ability to diagnose GI disorders by the odor of their poo. He would stand thoughtfully outside the patient's room and sniff, expression on face identical to Joey from Friends "Smell the Fart" acting.
I also had a surgery attending who was a big jerky meanie. I was doing a pre-op exam on a patient and as the anesthesiologist began to insert the IV she said, "Here comes a little prick," just as the attending walked into the room. Heh.
