Speaking from experience, whatever you do, DO NOT get married or have kids. It is a constant nuisance. You can't do anything except on someone else's terms and schedules. You have NO freedom of any kind. And the financial burden is beyond your comprehension. I love my family, but my nerves are shot, also.
So I totally disagree with that. I want to get married and have a family - I wouldn't be alone just so I could have my own way all the time. Thanks for your comment, though - I'm sure you're not the only person who feels that way.
It seems the older I get, the older it seems acceptable for women to have kids. As I approached 30 with no grandbabies on the radar, my mom pushed her age limit out to 35...now that I'm almost 35, she's telling me women in their 40's are having kids.
I asked her, "Would you have had a baby when you were 40?" She replied, "God, no." Perfect. 
Makes me feel better.
