Google that virus and see what is says. I did after I had it. From what I gather, it is from fecal bacteria. It takes about 24 hours for something to go through you, hence the "24 hour virus" name. Sickening, huh?
Not nearly as sickening as some of the things I've come across in school (or pickled eggs - those gross me out). Thanks, though! And you're probably right - most of the GI viruses are transmitted by the fecal-oral route. As in, someone is sick, they use the restroom, don't wash their hands, someone comes along behind them and touches something they touched, then puts their hand to their mouth. Voila.
