It sounds to me as if they're being pressured by others because cretins abuse their domains.
Perhaps - and I know this is a stretch - perhaps if you write back asking for more information, explaining it is a bog (I know, 'duh' but just stick with me) someone with a brain may realize how absurd their request sounds.

I would look into possbily convincing them that your images fall under public domain. I'll have to look to make sure I'm following the right trail.

I would tell them to kiss my ass and see if they are bluffing or not. And contact the attorney generals office and they will check this out and take care of it if Go is in the wrong. I'm having a similar problem with a bank who says my home insurance is not good enough after many years. If they keep on, I'll take my bidness elsewhere and they can bite me. I'm sick of taking peoples guff and fully intend to exact revenge for such.
