Thanks for the explanation on this; I was wondering what was going on when I saw your Facebook status! It is amazing that understanding your disease is not helping any, because everyone thinks they already know everything.
I hope everything works out and that you are feeling better soon. If it doesn't resolve over the weekend, that would really suck, but it would NOT mean that you are no longer in your class or no longer a med student. Nobody lacks sympathy to that degree, I hope.

I'm sorry it's been so bad lately. They don't make patches with lower dosages? Or was it the type of med in the patch that was the problem, not the dosage?
That sounds about right. What is it we pay them for? (No offense. You're not going to be like those pinkytoes.)
Sorry to hear about your evil pancreas getting the best of you lately. It sux that so many lame-asses wanting a quick fix and/or look to the ED as their supplier ruin it for those of us who really just MIGHT need it for real reasons.
I hope that you get resolution on this soon. I'm kinda shocked at the pain mgmt place, but keep trying. You'll still be a med student--don't worry--but ultimately you need to take care of you. Take care.
