THANK YOU for doing this. It is something I have been meaning to do since I read the study.
As an atheist I was elated at first, but my joy quickly turned into disappointment when I realized that the methodology was flawed. Fallacy of aggregation if I ever saw it.

Yes exactly.
Atheism does not equal immorality.
Many religious conservatives argue that religion is necessary to keep society prosperous and free of crime ... this is the fear that drives the culture wars - this very idea. And this is the idea (i.e. atheism = immorality) that must be fought.
And in this paper, we have data that suggests that the "atheism = immoral behavior" is wrong.
