Can I just say, that's so sad?
Nothing like a good slave mentatility, perhaps with a touch of martyr complex, to keep the scientific world movin' along...
It's a holiday up here, too: 'Family Day.' I'm here at school with my new 'family', the brotherhood/sisterhood of medical students, studying away. Maybe things haven't changed that much for this ex-scientist...

Ho ho - that's because you weren't in New York! I wasn't alone and I'm not alone tonight (no I'm not including the mice esp since in 30' they really won't be hanging out anymore listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs).
Tech hanging out at night? Is s/he gunning for a letter for med school? Or maybe s/he's really got a steamy paperback in the works detailing the love lives of the labs postdocs. Maybe chapter 2 has some cold room shenaniganry.

All he would say about the novel is that it's fantasy fiction trash, but that he was hooked. As desperate as that sounds, at least he wasn't reduced down to killing mice at 11:03PM.
And "U", say "hi" to the "family" ...
