Gates is overrated, after all he has been a wonderful executor of tough competition tactics, but he never had any vision, (almost?) never being the first on a market or with an idea. In the top managers, Gates surely has a place. As a leader... no. Let's just quote him saying that the graphical user interface has no future and DOS will rule. At least he knew what to follow.

Steve Jobs... Apple doesn't look impressive to me.

Immelt, apart from having been chosen by Jack Welch as his successor, has not done anything known to me.
